Pros

Great benefits and salary. My salary was very good in comparison to other bankers at other institutions. I also received four weeks vacation. There is also extensive and thorough training. Every other month there is a new training class you are required to take.

Cons

Incompetent!!! Unprofessional management!!! Upper management needs to hire more competent branch managers as a Banker I was more qualified than my manager. From my education to all of my experience go figure!!!?? There is a HIGH turnover ratio. From management to tellers and bankers no one seems to stay for too long. Oh and those tacky uniforms. oh no!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

In the current market conditions, I believe the company is the one of the strongest on the street. I think within a year it will try to acquire another bank to expand its presence on the West coast.

Cons

It seems like JPMorgan and Chase are two completely different companies. It is hard making the transition from the retail side to the investment side. Chase is hiring a lot of young people to fill Branch Managers and FA position, as well as personal bankers. The lack of experience often provides bad customer service to the customers who have been with the bank for a long time and have accustomed to the way the branches were run.

Pros

Very Fair and Competent Company. They strive to offer the best retail market which allows them market capitalization in the Tri-State Area. Their benefits are extensive and JPMorgan offers discounts to almost every retail store. What they are very good at is having a strong name and reputation in the financial world. Everyone who knows what its like to work for JPMorgan brings a certain swag to their next position. They are also a great company in the fact that they hire mostly in house and have quota's they need to hit to ensure in-comapny promotions. By far the best out of any company I've worked for.

Cons

They are a larger company and its customer service arm is sometimes hindered because of it. Most of the time, Chase on the Retail Banking Level is based around sales and sales alone. When customer service is a question, the problem becomes only the person who is dealing with it. There is no support system unless you have an eager banker support operator who sympatizes with you. The most frustrating scenario that I have run into at the branch level is higher management only being concerned with sales and not the consumer as a whole. We have lost alot of business because of this.
