Pros

Laid back work atmosphere. Small office feel. Free lunches

Cons

Culture has taken a big hit due to leadership changes. No visible path to advancement or career development. Mentoring or coaching opportunities are few and far in between. Investment in tech and people lagging industry and with high rates of turnover, management has been slow to act and rehire.

Pros

Employee Owned, Interesting work, typically very advanced and technical colleagues. Small enough firm that management still cares for each individual employee.

Cons

Compensation and org structure are generally pretty flat, can be difficult to see or find advancement opportunities. Work/life balance and career development vary by team.
