Pros

Pay is OK. Benefits are good. Very few opportunities for growth. Since the company HQ is in Tel Aviv, you get to (or have to) fly out there at least once.

Cons

Worst culture you can imagine with very few upsides, no potential for any real growth, and frequent employee turnover... many new employees run away in the first 6 months. From a Silicon Valley culture perspective, Check Point is a "wannabe." With HQ half-way around the world and a very different culture in Israel, it makes Check Point a strange and extremely unproductive mash-up of dictatorship and socialism.

Pros

Nice people, trip to Israel for new hires, ability to learn a lot of new skills, innovative company with great products, good benefits

Cons

centralized management in Israel, overworked and unorganized management in US giving little guidance to new employees, no option WFH (even for extenuating circumstances), serious office culture that doesn't show appreciation for going above & beyond and doesn't attract fresh talent or give them incentive to stay

Pros

The work-life balance is outstanding, the pay is acceptable and the products are something you can be proud to be a part of and share with others. Overall, it is a company you want to work hard for and participate in.

Cons

The only real negative is that the quotas over time, if you're successful, become mathematically impossible to achieve. Basically, you have to outperform yourself every year, which is fine if you hit your target or slightly over. The problem is if you hit 130 or 150% a few times then the quota outgrows your territory. It discourages you from hunting large deals because very large deals are hard to replicate each year. A very large deal will be very bad the next year.
