Pros

Extremely focused on security. Trips to Tel Aviv, Israel Life/Work Balance Extremely stable company Great leadership, regional autonomy No layoffs during COVID Supportive regional team. Local and national resources ready to help customers Resources in Israel make themselves available after hours

Cons

Company recently struggling with support issues, which can make my job harder. Can be challenging coordinating with resources in Israel Tons of products can make onboarding slow for some folks

Pros

Check Point is known for being very stable, so the chance of mass layoffs is basically zero. Also the atmosphere is nice, not overly stressful.

Cons

The pay is significantly lower than competitors, and rises slowly. Not many chances of advancing from manual QA for the first 2-3 years if you come in with no experience.

Pros

-Committed to the support, growth, and equality of women in the workplace with recognition in CRN for our female leadership and the internal organization FIRE "Females In Roles Everywhere" -No layoffs since I've been at the company (many years) -HR and management will listen to your concerns and will work with you to reach your goals -Industry leader in cybersecurity -Fairly easy to switch roles internally

Cons

Personally, I don't have many. That's why I've been here for so long.

Pros

Some existing customer base that are loyal to Check Point.

Cons

Pay is well below industry standards. Local management has no decision making power the consistently blames Israel for illogical decisions and directives. Constantly manipulating quota/targets. Ex. Deal not showing under your sales credit, you get the revenue assigned correctly after much fighting, but your quota goes up by twice the value of the deal, sighting the “potential revenue” for that customer. They have been doing layoffs through Covid, but say they are not doing so. Putting people on plan instead and will dismiss as under performing in order to dump higher salaries.

Pros

CP has great people. They treat you like a family. They have not had a layoff in 30 years so they are conservative on who they hire. The products are very good and they have some of the best cyber people in the world.

Cons

HQ is in Tel Aviv. Getting things done is hard, slow, and painful. Marketing leaves a lot to be desired. Slow and insufficient funding and competition out-markets us 10 to 1. CP needs to do more M&A to stay competitive and needs more third party validation.

Pros

Very stable company that will treat you right if you dedicate yourself. No major layoffs in the company history - CEO takes employee wellbeing personal Best of breed technology that focuses on Threat Prevention (this is unique) Great people, feels like a family Team mentality - we all win or we all lose Good work/life balance Nice expense policy for customer and partner entertainment Best threat intelligence team in the market!

Cons

Limited career advancement opportunity if you are unable to relocate Limited marketing presence (although this has gotten much better in recent years) No home office expenses allowed (including internet, office supplies) Salaries are lower than competition unless you prove yourself - then they make it right Many decisions are made by main office in Israel - sometimes these decisions don't fit well with the US market. High sales team turnover (usually because the people hired were just not capable of doing the job)

Pros

-Comradery is excellent. The people sitting beside you are always willing to help. -Free lunch (Kinda. During the Waiter.com days things were good, now with uber-eats it isn’t) -Job Stability. Check Point will never fire you. They have also never done layoff. -Travel. You get to visit Israel, Texas, California, and other places. I have done a total of 13 business trips in the span of 8 years.

Cons

-Very Understaffed, the company expects you to do more with less. -Underpaid. Competitors are offering much more. -Lots of turnovers. -Not great R&D support. Also, they work Sunday to Thursday, so getting their support on Friday is near impossible. -Stock hasn't moved in 5 years. This doesn't get investors excited. -The Founder is still running the company. Someone new/fresh needs to take over. -Nothing exciting has happened since sandblast in 2017. -R80 came out 3 years too late. -Don't have time to train engineers. They're stuck on calls for a long time. They would be on the calls less if we gave them training but we can't give them training cause they're on calls. -There's a lot of hate between TAC groups (DTAC/OTAC/IL-TAC) There needs to be global leadership and unity.
