Great Managers and Balanced

Pros

Some of the best bosses and managers I have ever had. Great work and life balance. A lot of co-workers have been here for awhile and are very happy.

Cons

Entry level compensation on the lower side. Complex commission structure. As with many other big companies the internal processes can take a bit. Complex Licensing but good overall support and resources.

Great location and office, very flexible schedule during corona

Cons

A lot of incompetent staff on the bottom of hierarchy, managers hear you only when you about to leave, very low salary, ridiculous annual bonus.

Pros

I Joined Check Point with Dreams and Flying colours with hopes and happiness. 1. The managers are friendly except for one ( Has attitude ) 2. Engineers and Devs are easy going but not friendly in nature except for few. 3. Good perks in terms of employee's wellfare and perks. 4. Easy promotions ( Every year you would get promoted to next level)

Cons

I was a senior Technical resourc (T3) but also escalation, Dev's contact, Mentor, Trainer and Technology Focal point. 1. False promises, espcially from Managers. 2. Less wages but with high demand in work ( specifically in IND TAC, Banglore) 3. No work culture and work life balance. 4. Promotions are not deserving. Due to that fact anyone can become a Escalation engineer, Tech lead and even Team Lead. 5. Due to the above factor your work life is highly affected. 6. Biased Team Leads. ( unless you are a critical resource or management you will not be treated well) 7. Poor Work infrastructures ( Labs and work tools Support) 8. There is no exposure to the current market technology apart from the work group you will be assigned to. And the excuse you would get for all of the above will be " This is all due to pandemic and WFH situation. Once the office is open everything will be back to normal" . But, Trust me it doesn't. I had to post this since lately I see lots of people joining the organisation and as a fellow human wanted to share my experience so people would know what they are actually stepping into. If you wanna hear more please continue to read. As I mentioned I worked in Check Point, Bangalore TAC and I had to go through lot of traumatic effects. I know its kind of exaggerating. But this is the reality especially for the Banglore TAC. As a Frontline and chat engineer you will highly work on no technical cases or the basic cases and there is no much to learn. After you are a T2 and started working on technical cases you would get atleast 4 new cases per day and apart from it if your co-worker is unavailable you will be asked to work on few his cases. On top of it you would need to work on replications which is a pain as there is no proper dedicated lab infra for the replications. You would need to create your own VM for every replication and if you are aware of Check Point deployment architecture then you would know what I say. if you are T3 your work doubles and where you need to work on T2 and T3 cases, Replications, Bugs and also you need to mentor T2 engineers also in the absence of escalation engineer you will be asked to handle the escalations in the name of skill upscaling. There is lot more to discuss and this platform is not sufficient to expose this work culture. I was offered for multiple positions and promised for 100% hike from current CTC but still I turned down because I believe in the quality of work rather than on money. My advise to anyone joining or willing to join the Check Point Bangalore TAC please reconsider your decisions and join only if you have no other option or you are desperately looking for a job just to manage your expenses.

Pros

Best place to work with best people around who are always supportive, helping and caring. Managers and collogues are very friendly and easy to approach, also very considerate people. Training period may seem very vast and you would eventually learn with everyone's support. Good learning environment!

Cons

Low salary as compared to other companies.
