In my early years in Checkpoint it was a wonderful job, I managed my territory, planned my routes and took care of my customers. Checkpoint field service was a selling post for new customers. our Average response time goal was 72 hrs. As time went on we went from being people to just being resources(dots on a map). driving past calls or cris-crossing with other techs is routine. your day, route order is all planned for you. response times went up to weeks rather than hrs or days. There is no longer a work/family balance, you couldn't plan your evening because suddenly they would dispatch calls 7 hrs away so your forced to stay the night. There is a ceiling in field service no management positions open and even if new opportunities arise it is more responsibility with the same. everything that was great about the job was slowly eroded away.

The turnover rate is through the roof for a reason. People are leaving in droves and that says a lot. Pay is well under industry standard. No consideration for workload. Complete lack of process and procedures. And the ones they do have are unclear and disorganized. Lack of support for anything you work on. You will carry all of the burden for any tasks, improvements or assignments and will receive no support from management. Healthcare is very expensive and poor coverage for the high cost. They rarely promote or groom their own people to move up. So if you want a long career, steer clear of here. Since the pandemic and massive lay offs, they didnt care much about work/life balance.
