The new VP of Talent is a terrible leader

Excellent pay and benefits; great co-workers and work-life balance. This was a dream job to have.

Cons

The newly hired VP of Talent is an absolute disappointment and the CEO should be embarrassed. He is inappropriate, ineffective at motivating a team, and simply should not be in a leadership position.

Great health benefits and collaboration

Cons

As all businesses, they only care about the bottom line number. Consumption based model in a market that is deteriorating and surrounded around hiring. Hence secret layoffs that have been slowly impacting teams for over 4 months now. They just don't want it to hit the press. Time off is "flexible" but people scared to take advantage. Morale is awful across the org.

Lots of background checks are being done.

Cons

Engineering leadership is poor from the top down. We don't have any direction and therefore don't have any goals or new projects. Stagnation has set in and now we're probably heading into greater moral decline. It's going to take a lot to turn this around. There is so much potential for Checkr projects such as government background checks, dating profile background checks, internet identity verification, etc. But upper management has no desire to grow horizontally.
