Money is not worth the time you put in, you have no room for life outside cheddars.

Pros

For the most part, the comraderie among serves was alive and well. At my location, I forged some strong relationships with my co-workers. I had a lot of fun in the kitchen with other servers.

Cons

The money was abosolutely not there. I'm not a huge fan of walking out after a double with, sometimes, less than one hundred dollars in my pocket. Management, at my location, was inconsiderate and oblivious to the needs of servers.

Pros

A good manager will help you out and answer your questions

Cons

-Made less than minimum wage while working there, with tips added in - took home about $20 per 6-hr shift in tips, consistently -Tips are terrible - people who go to eat at a restaurant that cheap aren't planning on tipping you well - not to mention the fact that when two people can eat for $15 dollars, 15% works out to only $2.25 - think that you can wait on 12 - 18 tables a shift for $2.25 a table - that's $27-$40, minus $5-$10 tipout to hosts, bussers, etc. - at the end of the day, you made $5.79 - $7.13 an hour -Many of the managers were extremely rude and unhelpful - on a power trip -Management expects you to stay an hour or more after your shift (or getting cut from your shift) doing heavy cleaning: pulling out tables to sweep under them, cleaning blinds, etc. for 2.13 an hour -Leaving after your shift takes an hour to hour and a half with cleaning and cashout - you only make 2.13 an hour during that extra time you are working and not making tips -They don't want you to eat there, i.e. to take advantage of the 50% off you get as an employee discount - there are absolutely NO breaks, not even to eat a granola bar or a torn throw-away croissant. If you want to eat a meal there after your shift, you have to leave the premises after your shift, wait an hour, come back, and then you can get your half-off meal. Also, you HAVE to buy a drink - no free water, you have to pay $1.99 for a drink, even if you're just getting water - recouping costs.
