Pros

If you like fast paces environment, then this place keeps you busy. Also allows you to roll your sleeves up and work on a lot of projects for your next career move.

Cons

No accountability across all levels of the organization. Finger pointing is the norm. Management does not practice what they preach. Work, Life, Balance WHAT? They've coined a new term called, Life, Balance, Work. Management expects you to work more than you are hired for or payed to do and no recognition. Bonuses must be made on % of budget saved because once you are in, any Merritt increase is foreign concept. Did I forget to mention that everything was due yesterday? The family is great, the mom, not so much. Be sure to bring your full suit body armor. Be sure its Steel! What happened to training? You better know your info or your going to drown. No one provides a safety rope or life jacket. Its up to you to figure it out on your own if you don't know something, or how to do something. Ever read about bad management case studies? Well this place is swarming with them.... That could be a 'pro' depending on how you read this review. Management's ego is so big, that they forget who they are and what we are trying to accomplish as an organization. Some managers you just want to grab a box of popcorn and sit back as they talk about themselves all day.

Dear Anonymous Employee in New Orleans: Thank you for taking the time to write and providing important feedback that will make us a stronger organization. As we strive to better demonstrate our values of love, accountability and passion, our ability to give and accept feedback and humbly acknowledge weaknesses, mistakes and improvement opportunities will be two critical factors that determine the trajectory of our ascent. Your comments highlight a few of the areas that will be ongoing challenges for a company growing as fast as we are. However, we do respect that people have lives and we are committed to making it sustainable for talented, hard-working people to have a career here. We are working hard to improve. For example: An important focus for us is attracting, developing and retaining the right people, harnessing their passion for being the best and delivering results, and using those results to improve and grow the organization. As I mentioned above, encouraging and accepting feedback is a key behavior for us. For the last few months senior leaders have worked with patient-facing team members to better understand the challenges and frustrations of the role. We listen closely to the professionals doing the job every day and then revisit our processes and procedures with the goal of making their jobs easier. Finally, we are focused on developing leaders at the local level by pushing accountability to deliver better health to the local teams. This has meant we have asked our central teams to become enablers, facilitators and supporters rather than direct managers. A cultural pivot like this is not an easy transition but are working hard at it. Your perceptions of our organization distress me, but also energize me to be better.

Pros

Good business model. Good intentions towards the senior community.

Cons

Terrible administration; lots of egos and backstabbing; lack of credibility or honesty towards employees; supervisors are clueless regarding good supervisory practices. Retaliation for sharing concerns and voice questions is a given. No access to upper management.
