Pros

Honestly, the job opportunity was very exciting for someone who has been on the market for over 6 months AND had multiple referrals internally.

Cons

No response to my app, no response to internal emails to recruiters introducing me to the hiring teams... nothing went well. I fell on deaf ears for over two months,

Pros

Nice office. Good benefits. The job was great, but not the people

Cons

I have to agree with another reviewer's comments below. I had the same experience. I found that people in the exact same role were hired to work remote while others are not allowed to. "Cons * anti-remote attitude from CEO (and Executive Leadership)... * ...yet, selectively hire some people fully remote while expecting other people to work in office, and when pressed for criteria on how these decisions are made, get non-answer spin from HR * if you are a woman, you will not get above middle management * pathetic covid response - only did the minimum to look like the org was concerned, while repeating "we are following CDC guidelines" over and over so it appeared they care * used to do feedback surveys but Choice stopped doing them because they didn't like the negative feedback (and never made any changes based on feedback)- and when employees in exit reviews give honest reasons for why they're leaving, HR gets angry and defensive Advice to Management Actually listen to the feedback you are getting and act on it. If the CEO/executive level is blocking any positive change, be honest and transparent with your employees about it. Quit trying to promote the company line."

Pros

* tolerable placeholder while looking for a better job * relatively good work/life balance (though this varies wildly by team so your results may vary)

Cons

* anti-remote attitude from CEO... * ...yet, selectively hire some people fully remote while expecting other people to work in office, and when pressed for criteria on how these decisions are made, get non-answer spin from HR * pays far below market rate - don't expect an annual increase nor a bonus * if you are a woman, you will not get above middle management * pathetic covid response - only did the minimum to look like the org was concerned, while repeating "we are following CDC guidelines" over and over so it appeared they care * used to do feedback surveys but Choice stopped doing them because they didn't like the negative feedback - and when employees in exit reviews give honest reasons for why they're leaving, HR gets angry and defensive * no WFH stipend - your phone, internet, furniture, all WFH expenses are 100% on you

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We're sorry to hear your expectations were not met. Choice’s work-from-home policy depends on your role and the department you work for. Choice recognizes the importance of work-life balance and, therefore, offers telecommuting, in its sole discretion, as a viable work alternative. We value your thoughts and feedback and will share them with the HR and executive leadership.
