Pros

Chopt is definitely an EEO. If promotions are what you’re after chopt will work with you as long as the effort and hard work are shown. They’re staffed with vibrant individuals who do not mind being at work. The atmosphere is light and reggae controls the vibe. Best thing is you will never go home smelling like a deep fryer. Everything is shipped fresh daily. Managers work well to accommodate whatever conflicts arrive with scheduling . There’s always innovative steps being taken to reach the perfect customer service while giving your pallet range !

Cons

It can be tough if you’re not naturally a team player.

Pros

Chopt has been able to position themselves as a solid competitor with more established fast casual restaurants by offering healthy food options and innovative flavors and options. Every three months they offer a "Destination Menu" that takes inspiration from unique flavor profiles around the world and offers these in three new salads. I always thought this was amazing considering the research, logistics, and training it took to roll out.

Cons

It's a small company but it's been around for almost twenty years. A focus on growth has prompted a lot of changes and updates to procedures and culture. I came on board in the midst of this and believed my experience in another fast casual concept would aid my team in adjusting and excelling but I found that there was instead a lot of ambiguity with direction and standards. We hired people just to fill a spot and food safety was a constant concern for me. We weren't given the resources to create a longterm solution and my boss was only focused on the PnL because her boss was only focused on PnL. Short term fixes became the go-to option and that became exhausting.

Pros

Decent salary and benefits, free salads. Other than that can’t think of a single one. Not working there anymore is a pro!

Cons

6 weeks of training to “learn” how to chopt vegetables and wash dishes. If you aren’t a GM or assistant GM you are a glorified cashier or chopper. Terrible atmosphere!
