The art; a nice group of people overall both in US and internationally; intelligent and civil environment; auctions are fun and exciting to be part of; opportunity on higher level to train as Auctioneer.

Cons

Not as well organized as one would expect of the World's Leading Art Business. Pay is low for starting employees because Christie's is an entree to the art world.

Job has its ups and downs, overall decent place to work

Room to move into a permanent role (as long as you don't require a visa) Access to amazing art and antiques Many staff are down to earth

Cons

Upper level management is out of touch While many staff are decent, there are some major egos throughout the company that make it very hard for things to run smoothly Everyone is overworked and highly stressed (most departments are understaffed)
