Great place to work, but employee compansation has been a consistent issue.

Pros

Great people and great teams. Everyone I worked with was willing to help and teach me if needed. People are open to new ideas and I was able to make a difference in the products. Management style is very hands off, I was given space to solve problems my own way. Great work life balance, never was pushed to work overtime or weekends.

Cons

Salary, yearly raises, and profit sharing were on the lower end despite the company having record breaking sales. Low compensation/yearly raises seemed to be a reoccurring issue for a lot of team members. There is a focus to expand the team and hire more people rather than reward current employees and provide them incentive to stay.

Thanks for your feedback! We want to make sure that our employees are fairly compensated and now look at salary market data on a regular basis to ensure we are competitive. However, there is always room for improvement, so we'll continue to work at being better at this.

Pros

I've been with Cimetrix for a number of years and watched them overcome many obstacles to get where they are today. I believe the leadership team uses the highest ethical standards in dealing with customers and employees and they have a huge focus on making the customers successful. The company has a great culture with good work/life balance, including work from home options for some positions. Employees treat each other with respect at all levels of the organization and there are no politics. Management provides continuous feed back so no surprises in annual discussions of performance. I genuinely like everyone I work with.

Cons

Even though Cimetrix has been in existence 20+ years, its a small company. Its hard to go on vacation and not come back to a pile of work.

We really do try to adhere to our core values, which does include using the highest ethical standards you mentioned. Since your review we have increased our headcount by 30%, we don't want our employees to get burned out, so hopefully you've seen things get better. However, being a small company, there is always a lot to do, but with that comes a lot of opportunities you might not get elsewhere. Thanks for your comments and don't hesitate to bring any suggestions you might have to your manager or your friendly, Human Resources Manager.

Not a bad company to work for

Pros

Small company feel, very friendly management, relaxed atmosphere, great benefits and perks.

Cons

Tries to please everyone, at times no clear direction, lacks new opportunities, no chance for advancement, no pay raises, middle management inexperienced.

Thanks for this feedback. Since it was posted in 2015, the company has incorporated a series of core values that we hold ourselves accountable for. As part of this we share in a monthly meeting the strategy of the company, our challenges and opportunities, and a report on how we are progressing against goals. We recently launched Cimetrix Academy, our in house training function, to help train managers on leadership to help make the transition into management easier on everyone.
