      Cintas does an excellent job of recruiting top level talent, but a poor job of retaining them.

      Pros

      Excellent training programs, relatively recession proof industry, good communication of corporate vision to partners from CEO (and VPs, executives)

      Cons

      Work life balance is not valued at this company. Compensation is never adapted to the market, or talent level. Corporate vision is not followed at local/regional levels. Making bonus at any cost is the name of the game, even at a sacrifice of ethics or employee well-being.

      Pros

      Most locations have great leadership and have a great culture. They promote from within and have a family type atmosphere where everyone has the others back and help each other to succeed.

      Cons

      -The ones without the great culture at the leadership level are left on their own for too long and can implode losing a lot of good partners in the process before anything gets done about it. -They take spartan to a whole new level. Raises are very small and hard to come by. -New people are hired in at higher rates based on the current market value, leaving tenured employees making next to nothing and feeling battered and used. -Commissioned job targets are always moving and when you get it nailed down and start making money they change it again.
