Pros

Decent car package slightly above average training otherwise it's mostly smoke in mirrors. I can honestly say the best part about the position was meeting other like minded individuals and watching them be successful when they leave because almost everyone leaves!

Cons

Has to be one of the most pathetic sales organizations I have worked for! They get you excited about the job and do a great job of getting you to drink the Kool aid. Extremely high turnover in all markets. If you don't drink the kool aid they will quickly hate you. For those that are considering a position here run!!! Especially if they offer you a sales role in FS it's a terrible position in most markets. You will burn out quick and when you realize how bad it is you will have wasted a year of your time!! Mostly a joke of a job. They are always hiring and my entire team I started with and three managers have left in just over 2 years! I thought it was a fantastic job initially as they like to hire young as you are perfect to trick!! Not one intelligent sales rep has stayed much more than a year and a half the ones that do usually are converted drivers of came from another unit. Intelligent business minded people figure out that selling towels aprons and mats to restaurants is not a good way to build your brand. If I could do it again I would say no!!! I was able to get multiple people to leave and they all have loved me for it even taking two people with me to a company they both love! If I can save just one person from this horrible career mistake the time it took to write this would be worth it!!!!

Pros

Pay is mid scale, vehicle is furnished in some cases, nice with high gas prices. Great retirement plan--but you will not be here to collect on it. Long hours don't bother me if the pay is commensurate--it was not.

Cons

If you are over 35, keep your resume handy. You will never prove it, but they don't want middle aged or experienced folks. No support from management for sales people. If you lose an account because management doubled price, it's you fault. This place is a revolving door--they actually brag that 85% of the people working for Cintas today, will not be here next year. All communication from management is one way--"Do it", "My way or the highway". the sales people who actually talk to the customers are not allowed to have an opinion. Whatever you do, do not get sick!

Pros

The car package consisted of: $365, $50 cell phone allowance, $54 monthly maintenance and gas card. This was a pro because you will put in 25-45k miles per year on your personal vehicle.

Cons

Where do I start? Company preaches their “culture”. That Spartan mentality they claim and boast about. However, in my experience each location is far from it. This is the boys club. If you fit in, great, if you don’t.. you’ll be gone soon. The amount of stress to get a GOOD sale is decent, but the stress of dealing with it afterwards is ridiculous. The service team at my location was EXTREMELY inefficient and disconnected with their responsibility. It was like having to fight fires, all day every day on their behalf. Customers will hate you after they realize how you locked them into a contract for 5 years and the verbiage you used was “service agreement”. You told them they could complain and get out but the service team is telling them, “Nope, it’s a contract for 5 years, pay the remaining weeks or we’ll take you to court. I don’t care if you’re a mom and pop shop, we’ll sue you.” You’re expected to come into the office and make 240 calls per week at least to set a minimum of 16-20 appointments and then do 50 new onsite visits (cold calls) per week around those appointments. The work is not hard if you love sales, but their expectations are a little ridiculous. If you don’t bring in their undefined weekly sales expectation, they’re quick to put reps on PIPs. On top of those visits and appointments, you also have to go load up stuff that your service team forgot, uniforms they left behind, or other items they needed. Oh and if you’re unable to help them out, too bad, the customer will still get charged and they hope they don’t notice. Reps are sold on the idea of making 6 figures quick, which can be achieved but there are a lot of uncontrollable aspects to get there like: lack of inventory, location and competition. They claim to be better but in reality they’re the same thing. You can’t possibly expect the same production from someone who is in a big city with more opportunities than someone in a rural area where there isn’t a huge need. I don’t regret working here because it taught me to persevere against so many different things but I would never return to that industry. It didn’t bring me satisfaction even though I produced good numbers, I never felt like I accomplished a good thing and I was always stressed out on Sunday evenings thinking of the week ahead.
