Pros

Flexible time off. Remote work.

Cons

• Some of the most ineffective leaders I've ever encountered. • Total disregard for employees while saying the opposite. • Leadership is completely disconnected from employees and from reality. (In spite of the "coffee chats," which are not nearly enough.) • Leadership will do anything to demonstrate profits, even sacrifice integrity.

Pros

Flexible work arrangements with remote work. Some managers do encourage you to use the unlimited PTO but I can imagine this is highly based on whoever your leader is. Good opportunity to get to learn the Circana tool as a person who’s worked in CPG for a while. I have been able to cross paths with some great people.

Cons

WEEKEND WORK. All Client Service processes happen over the weekend. The company is just ok with it. In my opinion, it’s unacceptable. Find a major issue with your clients model? You are bound to fixing any issues you have by either working with offshore teams who work overnight and move slowly, or by working with condescending onshore teams and leaders. Career path unclear unless you want to be a people manager - which is daunting given the lack of support given to managers. Pay is not aligned with the demands of this role.

Maybe it will improve with new management???

Pros

I was with Circana (formerly NPD) for about 15 years. During much of that tenure, my direct managers were wonderful, amazing supportive smart people.

Cons

Unfortunately most of those managers had little to no power to implement positive change. This was a highly political and toxic work environment (though I’m sure the experience varies depending on the group you are in - I was under the same umbrella for much of my time). Favoritism was rampant, and senior management went out of their way to keep under performers while not valuing those employees with strong worth ethic that put client experience first.
