Pros

Okay job for teens and young adults to get a start in the job market.

Cons

Company polices and practices almost seem designed to drive out employees. They pay lip service regarding caring about their employees, but don't back that up with actual actions.

Pros

Weekly pay and direct deposit are convenient. As long as you're barely competent you won't have to worry about having your hours cut or being fired unjustly. Official policies are very lax so it's easy to keep up with expectations. Despite competition Circle K is squarely planted in most markets so I'm not worried about impending bankruptcy or mass layoffs this decade.

Cons

The compensation for hourly employees is awful. Your potential for raises and promotions depends entirely on your relationship with your immediate supervisor (not your performance) and a lot of the store managers that are hired are unfit to be CSRs. Upper management doesn't care and doesn't seem to have a solid grasp on how to move forward facing renewed competition from Quick Trip.
