Pros

I came here because I wanted to build a career instead of just having a job. It's not easy but I wasn't expecting it to be. I have been able to share my current skills along with learning new skills. If you have an entrepreneur mindset, this is the type of company you would love. We're a team and we work together to ensure we're building outcomes that we can all be proud of and proud to have our names connected to. Everyone is aware that we're not only building a company but we're building careers, skills, and most importantly a team/family atmosphere. Culture is something that is extremely important to us. We're a company that enjoys giving back to the community in many different ways such as food drives, warm up wny, and other fundraisers throughout the year. We have a lounge area where we can relax or play a game of ping pong to clear our minds or just take a break. We also have a full gym at our disposal. A kitchen with plenty of seating for our lunch breaks. A library of books to help build our knowledge of ideas and skill sets. We're always doing fun activities for holidays, even "bring your dog to work" day. Happy hours, summer picnic/parties. This truly is a great place to grow professionally.

Cons

The work/life balance isn't the best but... we're a startup and we know what we need to put in to get what we want out.

Pros

Let be realistic, not everyone is the type of individual who can handle, or is willing to work for a start up company. When I was first hired, I was asked multiple times during my interview if I could manage working for a start up. Since it was my second career related job, I said yes, not knowing 100% what I was getting myself into. None the less, I was pleasantly surprised. For the first time ever, I felt like I had a voice within a company and could make an impact. The reason I left my last job was because there was no opportunity to grow internally. I feel that the lack of opportunity for individuals is a common reason they leave their job, along with bad culture. This company has made changes as we grew, but they were to best suit the needs of the organization. We have been restructured internally a few times, but it was for the betterment of the company. Every director and executive (past and present) has been someone I really trust, could rely on, and communicates well with. Everyone has your best interest in mind, as well as considering the well-being of the company. Overall, If you want to be able to scale with a company and have impact on structure and processes, this is the place for you! Culture is key with this company and I have had an amazing time working for the company. They have really helped me succeed and developed me as an employee.

Cons

Job interferes with work- life balance because of all the time dedicated to growing the company
