Pros

Cons

One straight year of mandatory OT, non-stop then layoffs a year later due to low inventory. Benefits are EXPENSIVE, upper management is a joke since they don't understand the job, expect unrealistic metrics, are unsympathetic, take advantage of the hard workers that meet the metrics, and make you work on projects that take you out of production and then tell you you're below productivity (metrics) expectations. There WERE different tiers of the Verification Specialist role (tiers 1-3) and each tier got paid differently. They did away with that and expected everyone to have the same metrics but a large pay difference (people getting paid $15 to do the same thing as someone in tier 2 making $19 and tier 3 making $23). They also had a town hall meeting about how they've "generated millions in revenue so everyone will get a raise" yet three months later, still NOTHING. This has happened twice in my 2 years of being employed. Very little career growth, so if you have zero desire to be better or do better for yourself, this is your place! I'd also like to note that I wouldn't be surprised if this company rebrands itself, again.

Pros

Benefits, some nice people, corporate is trying to improve the company.

Cons

Awful managers. Callers don't do work so it Closers can't make more money closing leads. One manager is trying to do his job but another manager doesn't know what we do and focuses on HR work. The director yells at us, swears and says threatening things. Corporate is bad mouthed like other departments and other managers. Very bad example for employees. People don't come to work, don't perform and don't follow policies but if they know certain people or certain peoples kids outside of work nothing is done about it.

Pros

Little to no commute Learn criminal justice terms Hands on experience working with court clerks, department of corrections, dept of probation, sheriffs office, etc. Learn what a good lawyer can get you out of!

Cons

There is no job performance recognition- it doesn't matter how little or much work you do, or how many mistakes you make- you get treated the same way. Upper management treats you like a number, they barely smile or say hi to you. The turn over rate in PRU is so high. There are no incentives to keep employees for a long time. Occasionally they will give "raises"- .10 cents = $3 a pay period, the Christmas bonus is $20 and is taxed, it's insulting and shows how much management thinks of their employees. The work space is like a morgue- no windows (executive offices have them all) no music playing, no talking amongst each other (executives scream across the floor to each other). We are like data entry robots and are just a number to get work produced. Friday's before holidays/long weekends we work until 5. Christmas Eve/New Years eve you work until 5 or you can use personal time/"make up the time". Work the day after thanksgiving. Require you to be there unless over 32" of snow falls - or you can use your own time. The executives will call your home on snow days and offer to pick you up and drive you to work when they are really desperate. They don't like you using your personal/vacation time- encourage you to come in early/stay late to make up the time you missed.
