Pros

- Was lucky to have nice bosses and colleagues whom are willing to teach and guide me. Very patient and friendly team. - Main Reason why I stayed cos of the WFH. Hybrid model so alot of wfh. - Free grab home & meal allowance (after 3 hours on top of your normal working hours). - Decent pantry. - Decent pay for a fresh graduate and good stepping stone. Alot to learn. - They sponsor your external learnings to, if you have any time and energy to spare to go for courses per year up to 5k (including CFA and CPA etc). - There is referral program (get some money & maybe higher chance get in) so let your friends working in Citco know if you decide you want to take on this conquest. - Quite a fair promotion structure as promotion interviews are done by bosses not from your team, but you have to let your boss know that you are trying for the promotional role. Quite fast to promote if there is vacancy. - Quite stable job, as the turnover rate is quite high, the company doesn't really fire employees unnecessarily and is constantly looking to hire. - Flexi half day offs for my team.

Cons

- Old system that uses an accounting software to reconcile with a statement reporting software. Understand they are trying to make improvements to the system but as of now its quite bad. Its like trying to find a specific book in the huge library. - Almost everyday is OT especially during Month End and Year End, usually due to clients and auditors. Good thing is that you get OT pay and they don't touch your weekends, bad thing is if you get a weekly fund and a few monthly funds where clients keep delaying, it affects your working hours alot. - If you're lucky, you get a good outsourced team to help with your funds, unlucky you get bad ones that you have to do the funds yourself and wonder what is the point of outsourcing this fund. - Work life balance is more for the higher ups so work hard and promote. - Steep learning curve (Pros and Con, if you like learning, there is alot to learn here). - "Your bonus is your OT pay " review is true. - VDI hardware and software is really choppy and laggy. - You will count alot of money earned by your clients but you get peanuts although you work really hard (facts about being in a fund administration company, its a factory). - Difficult to plan leaves and offs when there are so many impending tasks and days that are locked for month end closing. - Not a place for people slow or can't take stress (Though this is the same for every other jobs). - Care package doesn't cover dependents unless you are of a certain rank (not sure if its VP and above).

Pros

- Good salary, manager and above. - Good vacation and health benefit - Good learning opportunity in the financial industry

Cons

Depends upon the team and department the person joins, can dictate their experience at Citco. Basically company have no long term plan and they are going on a day to day basis. If a person join a functional team with low turnover life will be good, otherwise long hours could be 60 to 80 hours. So good luck. It is good to start career and gain experience and then move onto to other challenges in your life.
