I worked at Citco Luxembourg and it was an incredibly toxic environment during my tenure. The toxicity primarily emanated from my manager and a colleague. One of the most distressing aspects of my time there was the relentless bullying and harassment. Racist and sexist comments were often made, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. Their aggressive behavior, including shouting and telling people to "shut up," was a daily occurrence. What's even more disheartening is that these issues were not isolated incidents. In the span of just one year, five team members left the company due to the hostile environment. The breaking point came when a brave colleague reported these ongoing problems to HR. Instead of addressing the issues, HR protected the manager and even threatened the colleague who had come forward. This blatant disregard for employee well-being further exacerbated the already dire situation. Overall, my experience at Citco was marred by an unrelenting culture of toxicity, harassment, and intimidation fostered by certain individuals in positions of authority. I strongly advise anyone considering employment with this company to think twice and carefully consider the potential consequences for their mental and emotional well-being.

I left a perfectly good position to join this company and worked for four short months, knowing there was a shortage of experience in the department I knew this would be a challenge. Working with micro-managers who have never run a transformation program in the past, the head of dept double jobbing - serving multiple departments at the same time. In general the role became an exercise in follow the herd- head nodding- without any defined plan for progression in the projects they envisaged to develop.
