Pros

The company is focused on its employees professionally, promoting specialized training (e.g., Agile) and certification for career development (e.g., PMP). The work environment is flexible and allows for sharing across project and organizations. Operations Management is experienced and ready to roll up their sleeves and support customers / projects, as needed.

Cons

Need to proactive with employees that are not-performing or are negatively impacting the engaged workforce.

Pros

I previously worked for Citizant for 6+ years and then left for 2 years. In reading a number of glassdoor.com reviews of Citizant, I see many older posts with references to a “clique” management team…basically, if you weren’t part of that team, you weren’t part of the “in crowd.” That group of people could make it very difficult and sometimes unpleasant to do your job on a daily basis. Those reviews are correct and that is one of the main reasons I left 2 years ago. I’m happy to report that the “clique” is gone! The CEO, along with her committed management team, realized the harm those people were causing to our organization and they are no longer here. When I returned a few months ago, I spent a few weeks working as a consultant and the whole place felt new again! I was thrilled when I was asked to come back fulltime. When I was here for the first 6+ years, it was by far the best job I ever had. Being back at the best job you’ve ever had is a gift and super exciting! The CEO (Alba) and executive management team care greatly about each and every employee. This company culture comes directly from Alba. It is her culture. It is her passion. It is ALL about the company, the employees and the customers that she respects, takes care of, and genuinely cares about. As for being a team member at Citizant? One of the biggest pros is that it is a growing company with a ton of potential for career advancement. The company recognizes talent, provides training and mentorship and promotes from within, whenever possible. Whoever you are, you can make a difference here, you can create a path for yourself, you can succeed.

Cons

Anyone that has ever worked for a small company knows that the hours can be long. Depending on your position in the organization, that could be true. But, depending on your role, you may have a normal 8 hour day. No question, the management team works long hours, but that is part of being a team that is trying to build and nurture a growing organization. For everyone else, just ask during your initial interviews what is expected for your role. Also, understand that many people work extra hours because they become involved in company business that builds their knowledge, expands their resume and leads them to promotions, bonuses, etc.

Pros

I believe a compelling reason to work for Citizant is the power of your own contribution to your career path. Citizant is an agile company with opportunities in various fields that allows for a different type of growth than typically offered by larger companies with different driving values. You are able to develop your skills based on your interests. With Citizant, I have grown through mentorship, professional challenges, life changes, and work experiences on various projects. I have been exposed to nearly all aspects of the work we do which has helped me have a better understanding of the business as a whole. This has helped me not only to grow as a person, but also as an asset to our customers and the company. I have been able to reliably balance my life changes and schedule with the work I perform for our customers at Citizant. Citizant's management staff has been able to work with our customers to ensure that quality work is performed while allowing the flexibility of things like telecommuting and remote site work. At one point in my career at Citizant, I moved out of state. Without question the company offered me the ability to work remotely rather than steering me to conclude my employment. I have worked with several other employees that have also had to balance life with work. I have seen Citizant do what they can to accommodate these unexpected changes.

Cons

This company is a smaller, closer knit, family community that does foster that type of environment. If you are looking to become a number and hang out in a corner, you may not like it here.
