Pros

You do get to leave early on Fridays during the summer and sometimes you get to wears jeans (you have to donate to wear the jeans which isn't that big of a deal) besides those two pros, I can't think of much more.

Cons

This was by far the worst company I've ever had the displeasure to work for. Essentially if you are not in tax or audit, you're literally treated so poorly. Being at the bottom is rough here. The admins who gave years to this firm will even tell you that it is a revolving door amongst the staff. Not only is your voice not heard, but when you do try to speak up you're chastised for it. Essentially, I did not fit the 1980s mold of this place and was openly harassed for it. Lastly, they do offer the ability to have perks, but then will let you know as a young employee you have to "earn" these perks. I was honestly afraid to leave my desk. I would take 15 minute lunches and eat as quickly as possible just so they wouldn't side eye me. Working at Citrin was honestly the worst decision of my entire life. I'm honestly unsure where the positive comments came from when majority of people there are quite miserable.

Pros

Rank & File employees are the best, all team players, focused on inclusion and creating a happy place to work

Cons

Grew too fast, too quickly. Desperate to hire, not caring whether these people have experience in accounting or working for a CPA office. Promoting partners not prepared (or have experience) managing real human beings. A scapegoat culture where any mistake is proof the employee sucks, no interest in getting to the bottom of an issue. Once management has heard, second hand, that an employee didn’t perform up to standards, that employee is frozen out. If management can throw a body under the bus, they will. They’ve lost so many great employees in the last two years.

Pros

Office frequently brings in lunch for employees. Although not all federal holidays aren't off, management will give 4-day weekends for Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, and Independence day. Good location.

Cons

Management in this specific office is very uncommunicative - there were several times that the CEO would be coming in for a visit and only some people would be told and others wouldn't find out until he walked through the door. The Office Manager makes or breaks this place - (s)he will be your friend one day, and then nothing but rude and cold the next day. (S)he also has no problem insulting you both to your face and behind your back. Extremely unprofessional - has no problem cursing and being rude even to the partners. When (s)he addresses you, instead of doing it in a polite, civil manner, (s)he'll be curt. If you have a concern about anything, don't waste your breath bringing it up with them because they'll tell you "deal with it" instead of addressing and trying to solve the problem. With the exception of one managing partner, and when you're employed there for the first few months (or until a new employee comes along), (s)he'll rude and unprofessional to everyone. Most, if not all, employees notice and experience this rude and unacceptable behavior and that's literally the saving grace of this office. A lot of good people have been let go because of the Office Manager, and if an employee acted like this Office Manager does at any other place, it would be the Office Manager that would get the boot - not the good people that (s)he convinces management to get rid of.
