Pros

- The people supporting the company area really great, hard working, enthusiastic and energized - Located in the heart of downtown San Diego. - Knowing you're involved with organization who are impacting good in the world one way or another.

Cons

- The work environment was really loud at times which made the job difficult, sometimes it was impossible to assist customers with the attention they required. - While the company across the board is about 50/50: male/female with very progressive traits, it is not diverse in ethnicity and culture. In my situation my team is comprised of 8 females and 1male and a only 2 minorities. - Management fell short in nurturing personal and professional development - Company developments/strategy for AM team were not executed in a way that was smooth and on several occasions shifted without notice. - Path for promotion was vague and inconsistent, really dishearten to learn other team members with same goals but were compensated double than I was yet we performed equally. - Benefits could be better, no 401K matching. - Core values of the company appear to only apply to the supporting staff and some of the lower rungs of middle management. Upper management and Executives did not exercise or lead with those same values.

Thank you for taking the time to review Classy and provide feedback to management. Admittedly, 2016 was a year of intense growth and change for Classy and we more than doubled our employee size, which included hiring many new people on the Account Management team. We navigated through many changes and this did require our employees to be flexible. We could not anticipate the wins and challenges that would come with so much growth, but truly do our best to live out our core values. We and have taken the learnings from the past 12+ months, embraced the “Always be Learning” value and are making significant changes in 2017 to bring great success and development to our all of our teams, the Account Management team included. To address compensation, team members’ comp does vary and it is commensurate with the experience of each individual. Performance is always rewarded at Classy and as you referenced, we have worked to create promotional opportunities, career paths, along with professional development and training for all team members and these programs will continue to grow. The most disheartening feedback to hear is that you feel that the core values of the company are not lived every day at the upper management and executive level. We truly believe in our core values and find them to be the bedrock of how we lead and inspire across all levels of the organization. We value your opinion and take this as a growth opportunity and challenge to ensure we are leading by example.

Pros

Amazing office, even better people. The office culture was made by events that involved everyone, allowing people to mingle with others that they didn’t see on a day-to-day basis. My closest friends in San Diego are people that I met at Classy. I was miserable working there my last few months, but the people I had the pleasure of seeing everyday kept me going.

Cons

The way sales reps were compensated was joke, promotions were given without salary increases.... Reps had an unreal workload, unrealistic quotas, and enough stress to make you reconsider a career in sales. At one point managements master plan was to raise product pricing, increase quotas, and decrease payouts. Then they have the nerve to cut people who are hitting quota. A sales development rep was once told by their manager that they could be a six figure earner. However, their base salary combined with them tripling their quota every month would still leave them significantly short. Managers only listen in on calls instead of rolling up their sleeves and helping the team. Seriously though, if you’re going to take the time to “listen in” why not help? You win, your rep wins, your team wins, seems pretty simple to me (insert shrug emoji).

Pros

-CEO is really excellent and has a great overall vision for the company -The dress code is very casual -The fundraising product Classy makes is top of the line -Working with exclusively nonprofit clients is interesting -Co-workers are mostly very smart across the board

Cons

-Lack of professionalism and/or confidentiality; playing favorites is the name of the game here -No 401.k matching -Was told you could come into work and leave flexibly as long as you put in your hours, but was completely judged for both taking a lunch and leaving early even if I had come in early -Depending on your department, there may not be much room for growth -Salary and benefits are average, yet they continually invest in "cool things" like a beer keg in the office, cold brew keg, company-wide juice cleanse, etc. instead of giving decent pay raises -The company is growing very fast and going through the start-up lifecycle, which means lots of growing pains and constant shifting priorities -Decently high turnover rate because people across all departments become frustrated and leave
