Pros

Ability to work with children which can be fun. The ability to work at the school of yr choosing so if you need to see the inner workings of a school before your child starts, this is a good way.

Cons

Many teachers don't leave assignments for students to complete which leads to behaviors because the children have nothing to do. As a sub, you don't have access to much so you have to think quickly of something to keep them occupied.

Resources for teachers and staff are plentiful. Leadership can be supportive, but it depends. This is the good.

Cons

Resources for students in the community are lacking in sufficiency. There is a disconnect between what students need post-pandemic in the 21st century where search engines optimize ideas we teach for weeks and what they learn in school. We have to do better overall.
