Pros

I really enjoyed my time at the company and made strong friendships with many of my co-workers. The flexibility and benefits were enough that I wanted to stay, regardless what salaries at other similar jobs would pay. There was also job stability from working for a profitable company. I'm giving a five star rating because my overall experiences have been amazing, But changes have been happening. Senior Management has, previously also been great.

Cons

All of the pros of working for Clearlink have been vanished in the wake of original founder James Clarke returning to the helm. He made a very controversial decision to move all business operations to a new top-notch office building while still in a long term commitment to two other office buildings.

A fart into the wind

Pros

I have worked with many great people at Clearlink over the years who have helped me grow in my craft and as a leader.

Cons

None of those people are in senior leadership. I know this review will be a fart in the wind in terms of instituting any actual change at Clearlink, but it's obvious senior leadership reads every negative thing about themselves and internalizes it to a psychopathic degree, so here's my $.02. Clearlink presents itself as a company that cares about diversity, charity, and work-life balance. Its diversity is basically that it represents many different LDS wards and that its affluent white dude employees may prefer Snowbird to Alta or vice versa. After changing insurance providers to ones that as far as I can gather don't cover...anything, they have cut their final perks, remote work for people in the Salt Lake Valley and half-day Fridays. You see, leadership invested a bunch of money in a cool new office space in Draper so we can all go there in our Patagonia jackets and tan dress shoes (what a horrible look) and talk at each other instead of doing what the remote work people are doing, which is working. Oh yeah, and folks have had two weeks to prepare for that. People who sold cars, took over childcare, moved away from freeways and urban centers, all have two weeks to adjust to this NEW PARADIGM (an old paradigm that already didn't work) so that the tan dress shoe brigade gets to see a full parking lot of people subordinate to them because they were lucky enough to be born on third base and think they've hit a home run.

Pros

My team is the best I've ever had. The non-executive level workers are amazing, hard working, friendly, and cooperative. I even like my direct bosses like the managers and directors, which is a first for me.

Cons

James Clarke, CEO, just offered employees $5,000 to quit within hours of his declaration so that he wouldn't have to do layoffs and pay unemployment. He is in the process of destroying this company, morale is plummeting. Despite the promise of a remote first workplace Clearlink has now required all employees within 50 miles of the building to return to work with less than 2 weeks notice. Even if they have newborns, even if they have disabilities, requests for exemptions have been denied. This year they went from offering free healthcare for employees to charging a monthly premium. They have also gotten rid of any perks like half day fridays. Everything that provided a healthy work/life balance has been removed.
