Pros

The only pros were work from home and they paid for P & C licensing which was revoked when I left.

Cons

They are very disorganized. They rely on their vendors too much for salary information and the lack of communication sucks. They get all their tech from Sykes which is terrible. My training class was hired on with the promise of $14.50 plus commission and the vendor they were working with started paying $12.50. We'd get shorted checks regularly and 3 of out of training class quit within the first week because the miscommunication between the recruiter and the vendor on our schedule that we signed contracts on. That was completely just shrugged off when we brought it up. We had system issues from day one and literally we would set all day with no calls or sales even though we were commissioned. No compensation for that at all. The vendor's employees that were there for support treated us poorly and with attitudes because we were their employees but subcontracted out. We weren't properly trained on how the vendor's systems worked so we frequently had issues and I lost policy sales because of this. Over all Clearlink might be a good company but they need to analyze a lot of their guideline and training modules. My last straw there was when another employee sent me a link that a new training class was coming on with less experience but was making more money. If the vendors are deciding the rate they are paying the clearlink employees they Clearlink needs to step in and set guidelines. When I left, there was 5 employees left out of 22 that had started with me. Pretty telling.

Pros

Having food trucks every day was pretty cool Getting paid weekly was nice

Cons

I had a hard time during training. The coaches would recommend lying in order to make the sale, even saying “We’d rather you get dinged on quality than lose the sale” . They had me listen to a call to give me confidence and inspiration, in the call one of the other agents lied to an elderly lady about contract lengths/pricing and it made me sick. Maybe I’m not meant for sales, but I can’t imagine running a business off of lies.

Pros

Free clearlink swag, some cool prizes, the culture, potential free health care, the relationships that you build, flexible for school schedules, competitive hourly plus commissions.

Cons

Where do I begin? The high pressured sales with not much commission (taxed very high). You have to be willing to push boundaries with customers and be fraudulent to be a top tier agent - commission is competition based. Also you have to jump through hoops to get the commission you earned but they are too cheap to pay out. "Oh you did not ask 2 tv learn questions during that one call that the customer was really rude on so you're going to lose 15% of your total revenue on your paycheck, and be careful because if on your 2nd call that is graded and you forget to ask for an alternate phone number then you lose an additional 15% on your paycheck." And then coaches aren't there to help you succeed. They are there to get a paycheck from you and that is it. The coaches will tell you to sell a certain way and then if it is flagged as selling incorrectly or fraud, etc, guess who gets the write up, not the coach. A couple weeks ago a coach (for frontier brand, but won't be named) was forced to fire half a dozen of his agents because those agents calls were flagged for fraudulent behavior. If half of your team gets in trouble due to fraud then you're not a good coach and it's on management (there are many instances like this). Now if you sneeze wrong, you're fired. This company used to be great but was bought out in 2016 and then started to go down the drain.
