Pros

The lower level staff (bcbas and CLS workers) for the most part have a WONDERFUL attitude. Although a lot of the talented staff left earlier this year(telling?), the staff who remained continue to work hard and stay dedicated to their clients

Cons

Lots of talk that is rarely implemented. More time spent paying for ads and having their social media boosted than on their clients or employees. Many non BCBA staff do not come from a background in ABA, which is great for perspective and collaboration, but when they are the only clinician on their cases it provides little oversight and clinical quality. The exec team is extremely fun and vibrant up front but talks negatively about people behind their backs. The insurance was also by far the worst plan I’ve ever been on. It’s cost was very high all medical visits were out of pocket costs. While boasting about Fortune 500 benefits, just hope you don’t need to go to the doctors... working with kids who sneeze in your face makes challenging.

This is unfortunate given we can select from a choice of health plans. The company provides a choice and funds are matched to Health Savings Plans (HSA) in some which is additional pre-taxed compensation, with an added HRA (deductible reimbursement program), i.e., we can get reimbursed for qualified deductibles paid back to us), it's a choice you can make between a PPO & a HDHP. Choosing high deductible plans comes with the benefit of accessing pre-taxed HSA & HRA components. If you don't want to utilize the additional benefits of a HDHP then it may not be the best plan for you... a PPO plan might be better but it cost a little more (i.e., copays are included). Wish we had the opportunity to review that more closely, there is homework to do when selecting a plan for yourself. We believe not only having a choice of plans gives more control to employees to decide, as well as a list of other benefits, including incentive options, 401k matching and several other combined benefits that show a strong commitment to our teams, having access to a long list of benefits like paid medical and dental/vision/short/long term disability, PTO, incentives, feedback opportunities, supervision as well as professional fieldwork supervision, CEU/conference reimbursements. This shows that the company does invest in their staff and it is a place where direct constructive feedback is rewarded while gossip or innuendo are not tolerated and will be deflected. The company works very hard to keep a wide variety of benefit choices, and a long list of available benefits that the majority of small business will not provide... More than 1/2 don't provide any like this. Yet, we are always open to hearing specifics, exact things we can utilize to improve as we continue to retain and acquire highly trained, experienced clinicians, professionals and direct support staff who provide quality services. Having patience is important when wanting opportunity... we welcome specifics on everything, we are always open to hearing details and anything that is constructive. Weekly feedback opportunities are provided to everyone and directors listen to, as well as respond to kudos, concerns, issues or comments. This is the first we've heard of any complaints about the choice of insurance plans available, give the pre-taxed HSA/HRA options attached to the HDHP selection. It's imperative for us to know and that is why we suggest participating in communicating each week through the feedback options provided on a weekly basis. Each clinician (including BCBAs) have access to not only a clinical supervisor they are also assigned a team leader who assists them directly with a variety of things. Staff have opportunities to collaborate frequently, and have supervision from other who are experienced. Clinical support is available daily for everyone, if anything is needed there are multiple avenues of easy communication made available to all staff members. It is unfortunate not to have access to specific information that we can address directly, we want that feedback and ask for it 24/7. We recommend providing constructive feedback, its very helpful and we continue to act upon that feedback on a weekly basis. We are very open to public accountability to show how we do this and welcome anyone to come see, exactly how it is done and give feedback on that process as well. The company social media is separate from clinical departments, it often focuses on staff successes with their clients. Staff that participate report enjoyment from it and it gives a chance to report and profile their successes, focusing on staff recognition is something we find extremely valuable. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, we are sorry to hear that CBA was not a great fit for you. One of our priorities this year is a focus on layered development for everyone at CBA including continued annual premium trainings (PEAK in Sept.) but particularly the development of team leaders. We encourage all team members to get involved and we respond to feedback consistently but continue to improve as we haven't focused on growth at all this year. We have focused on designing layered development and additional training & support for all staff members.

Pros

CBA employs some of the finest clinicians and staff I've ever seen at a company. The company's leadership is truly dedicated to providing the best for their employees and that carries over to providing the best quality care for their clients.

Cons

I have yet to discover any.
