Pros

paid time off, dental / vision / full group health benefits, 2 paid 15 hr breaks, industry perks - standby flights / amtrak discounts , free clipper rides, hotel discounts, and they have incentive gifts every once in awhile EX: $100 target gift card, free hotel stays w/ partnering hotel, actives such as zip-lining and whale watching, good money in the summer time, you can call in sick moderately often and they are understanding about time off (not in the summer), recently renovated office w/ sit and stand desks and treadmill desk, monthly bbq, 2 days off in a row usually, you can switch shifts with co workers

Cons

TERRIBLE commission structure that is not fair for most employees, reallllly early schedules or really late schedules unless you have top seniority and get can a mid shift ( i cant find a bus to get me to work at 5 45am), no free coffee for working at these awful hours, ugly uniform pants, strict time off regulations for summer, odd pay period, we are forced to take 1 hr lunch breaks, checking passengers in for hours every morning, zero organization when it comes to problems w/ cancelled sailings, hard to have a life when you work at 6am 5 days a week, grey cubicle office (why no color for the remodel??!) sitting in a windowless office for 8 hrs a day can be annoying...

Pros

There is room for growth since they will promote from with in and the company is trying to double in size.

Cons

There is such a huge gap in communication between management and the lower level employees considering the relatively small size of the company. Human focus is severely lacking as is demonstrated by online customer reviews as well as the high rate of employee turnover. Management seems to think that this is normal and does not evaluate why their staff is so disengaged and unhappy overall. The reservations department management is extremely defensive, disingenuous and often bullies employees while maintaining a smiling facade. I do believe that the CEO and some other members of higher management are well meaning, so it is alarming that there have been no moves the evaluate why they can't keep employees or improve customer ratings.

No room to breath

Pros

Good place to get great deals on traveling to Victoria on the Clipper

Cons

No room for growth. COO doesn't allow departments room to breath and wants to micro manage each department. No chance to run your own department and use your full potential. Certain positions will never be full time even though they bring you on with that hope. No real feedback to help you improve on how to play politics there. Lots of politics with COO.
