Pros

Working at Closet Factory has been a great experience. Having known little about cabinet design and selling, I was a little leery about my success. However, through their comprehensive training program I became an expert in both the product and cabinet design. This is coupled with continuous selling training and advice given by both the owner and vice president. I also get to set my own schedule which really helps when outside commitments come up. The office staff is great and very reliable and very helpful; whether it be engineering, scheduling, or client relations. Overall, I have learned a great deal about cabinet design, selling, and what it takes to make it in this business.

Cons

Because we work on commission it can be a bit tight if certain jobs aren't scheduled for installation for a long time or you are having a down month. That said, there is plenty of assistance given by both the owner and the vice president when it comes to getting sales so that this type of situation doesn't arise.

Pros

They have a very Flexible schedule

Cons

Not near enough appointments to make a decent living…I was getting only 4-5 appointments a month. The training sucks…. There’s sales training but hardly any software training or support. Catherine is the trainer and she knows a lot for but the training is mostly focused on how to sell and not on the KCD software program that you need to use to design. Management also sucks…they are constantly hiring and rehiring managers and none of them are really great…it’s very clicky so if they like you, you may get more help or appts but if they don’t like you, you’re in trouble and won’t be able to support yourself. Most employees have another job. They don’t do enough advertising and none of The systems are integrated…there’s a separate email, Design software (KCD- which is not great), another CRM system etc. The installation team always makes mistakes and are really hard to get answers from and take forever to get resolved which makes clients very upset. You have to spend a lot of Time after your project gets installed and you don’t get paid until things are resolved.
