Pros

Health benefits, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and RSU's.

Cons

Leadership is horrible and it is pushed from the executives/founders of the company down to the VP's and down to the managers. Lead by fear approach. The managers and VP's have no power, and anything they recommend to the executive team, is not accepted. The CEO has no issues with berating the different departments, especially the sales organization on public and earning calls. Not a great work/life balance. Many employees will put in 60+ hour weeks to only end up with no job 9-12 months later, because they were unable to hit 100% each quarter. Folks that have been in Enterprise IT Sales know that it takes an average of 18 months average to build a business and get the trust of Enterprise Customers.

Pros

Innovative technology and strong security reputation. Some talented engineers and developers showcase expertise.

Cons

The company's leadership, including executives, are grossly unfamiliar with operations and sales, leading to poor decision-making. Sales managers, operations, legal, and marketing teams are often under-educated not only in their specific fields but also regarding the geo-locations they support, causing miscommunication and inefficiencies. The support is horrendous—resolving issues can take months, severely impacting customer satisfaction. Internal processes are chaotic and inefficient, leading to delays and frustration. Despite being a billion-dollar company, their disorganization and incompetence are mind-blowing. Additionally, their HR department has a notorious reputation; employees who attempt to raise concerns about management are often shunned or ignored. There have been several lawsuits settled over wrongful termination within their state and local teams, highlighting serious internal issues.

Pros

Great products, solid reputation in the market, smart, collaborative team members and has the potential to do so much more and be so much better if…..

Cons

….The founders and CTO had the self awareness to recognize that they are not, and do not have the executive skills and experience to carry the company forward. They did a great job founding the company, creating the product and setting the vision into motion, but the constant micromanagement, sense of entitlement, and arrogance to not listen and let “real enterprise executives” do what they know needs to be done in order to scale and mature the company, will only continue to burn good people out and drive them away. The grossly below market comp, laughable merit increases and RSU grants, and the embarrassment Cloudflare calls “benefits” will ensure people stay away or withdraw from the interview process. The job market will turn around and when it does there will be a reckoning. Trying to convince people that you are going to change the world, control the internet and are the company everyone wants to work at, is just not reality. That is EVERY companies pitch. People don’t care anymore about your delusions. They want to be paid fairly, to be treated with respect and they want to see leadership do what’s best for the company and its people, even if that means stepping aside. You want to GSD….start there
