Pros

This company is a great place to start within the healthcare industry with like minded individuals mostly all out of college! They provide structure and training in a role who's expectations and milestones are incredibly straightforward.

Cons

For a company that wants to compete in the Bay Area for talent - compensation is low, bonuses are low, promotions are not merit based and it operates like that of an old consulting firm.

Pros

Gain real, applicable skills in project management relating to healthcare administration and revenue cycle for facilities. At this company, you have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and have to navigate leading them as well. In the consultant role, the day to say is more business based, but there are other roles that are more clinical based.

Cons

Appropriate compensation has been the topic of conversation for the last 5 years at our company and even more so in the past year as employees are taking on double the work than in the past. Our company merged last year with another top healthcare name and unfortunately, that makes it now seem that our motivation has changed from great client service and helping facilities, to just bringing dollars to hit high stretch targets. Our team members are under a ton of stress and are not being paid adequately for the change in work loads either. The training for this job is not sufficient to provide adequate support for our new and existing consultants. Consultants mainly learn “on the job”, which means that people who started at the same time, are growing as different speeds due the the different exposure they receive. Additionally, there is a lack of support for team leaders and management is very disconnected from how team moral is as they are too busy themselves now.
