Pros

As a first time job in my life and UK that Job was not quite bad for me, Good salary, 4 weeks paid holidays and most important I had the opportunity to build my communications skills and mixing up with different background people.

Cons

As my first job I enjoyed thoroughly working with them and being part of a member. Apparently they should increase their training program for individuals.

Pros

The pay as a general service assistant is fair and over-time is compensated at a higher rate. The training is comprehensive and makes it clear how to deal with issues such as under-age sales. The Co-operative Group has a strong commitment to fair trade. Store performance is communicated effectively to the staff on a weekly or monthly basis. Sufficient supervision to assist with organization of daily tasks. Good advertizing of internal positions.

Cons

Senior management rarely interacted with lower-level staff when they visited the store. No incentives for productivity or performance at the level of individual employees. General customer assistants may have to work any day, including weekends.
