Pros

Pays well! Good office amenities. Has a monopoly advantage on the market so its an easy product to sell.

Cons

Management will make promises they cant keep and hire you for one job and expect you to do two jobs. Management is corrupt and will cover up abuse and scandals. Management is incompetent and will hire too many people and then fire people when they realize they hired to many people and then hire too many people again. You will have no agency. You will have very little time off. The sales team in highly cannibalistic and you will need to fight for commission you earned. Because of the competition within the field ive seen people let go with no notice to preserve confidentiality.

Pros

Decent pay and job is easy to do.

Cons

Micromanaging beyond anything you're ever experienced. The job is very easy so there's no reason to micromanage. We worked from home during the 1st part of the pandemic and we exceeded all previous years in our productivity but we were rushed back into the office before any other employers. (Obviously, we needed to prove that there's a need for commercial real estate lease space.) We were told that it was for collaboration but that never materialized. When most of the workforce refused to come back due to the potential exposure to high risk family members, they were terminated and that was at all levels of the organization. There were discussions on diversity, equity and inclusion but the company never demonstrated any change in the culture, opportunities or diversity in management. The company has been harassing a former employee for an Instagram Meme's page mocking the treatment he endured while at the company. All I can say is I feel free now that I no longer work there. If peace of mind means anything to you, I would recommend you look elsewhere for employment.

Pros

good first job out of school. great coworkers, great benefits, free food and free parking.

Cons

they might let you go for absolutely no reason at all. i was meeting my metrics, my manager reviews were all good and i was almost at the one year point and up for promotion. i was pulled into the vps office and was told i was being let go because i was no longer a good fit for the company. i was confused because my manager and even other managers were telling me how well i was doing at my job. so it makes me believe that costar does not truly value hardworking employees unless you fit into some type of mold?? which i thought i fit into but i guess not. i had heard rumors that upper level management were surveilling employees as well on social media and on their webcams while we were working from home.
