      Awesome pay Minimum qualifications needed Great benefits Good bonuses most of the time Can get experience on some heavy equipment

      Cons

      Work environments can be hard on your body Definitely some clicks in some departments Have to spend a lot of time away from family and friends They really don’t seem to want you to advance, so good luck moving up and learning valuable skills Very little communication between departments and from upper management to entry level employees

      Good pay and good benefits

      Cons

      Unethical and horrible upper management. No clear direction for the future, lots of politics and scapegoating. Anyone who stands up to it is fired.

      Pros

      Schedule was good, a lot of fun work to be done, can lead to a lot of training in different areas of mine geology. There is a lot of room for work to be done. Expect things and plans to change, constantly - all needed to be done yesterday.

      Cons

      Really hard to stay ahead - the lack of communication and planning on some affects everybody at different levels. I found myself stretched too thin with responsibilities that I was not being compensated for - yet responsible to respond to when something was incorrect or needed fixing.
