Pros

The leadership at Coffman goes out of their way to show genuine interest in employees and their growth with just the right touch of personal humility. Support from Senior Leadership is the best I've seen over 25 years in this industry. Ability to share work between offices or even relocate to another office.

Cons

High Deductible Health Insurance can be challenging to start for senior staff. Sometimes the coffee machine malfunctions...

Thanks for your feedback. Especially enjoyed the juxtaposition of High Deductibles and malfunctioning coffee machines. Coffee machine reliability can be critical to employee well-being, which in turn affects future deductible requirements :) In all seriousness though, really appreciate the positive outlook and the nice words about the senior leadership. What we are doing shouldn't be unique. Valuing people, providing opportunities for success, and living by the Platinum Rule, are just the right things to do. Thanks again. Dave Ruff - CEO/President

Pros

At Coffman, the idea that employees are valued and respected goes beyond mere lip service; it’s backed up by behavior and resources. Coffman walks the walk. Employees are encouraged and supported in the pursuit of professional development and career growth, regardless of tenure, position, or department. If you want to learn and grow, the opportunities are there. Work/life balance isn’t a pipe dream at Coffman. Yes, there are times when project deadlines and workloads necessitate extra hours, but management pays attention and works hard to ensure that such situations don’t become the norm. Scheduled check-ins between employees and managers are standard operating procedure, across the board. The company has been growing, in ways that are thoughtfully considered, well communicated, and sustainable. Though I’ve been at Coffman less than a year, I’ve already witnessed firsthand – on several occasions – remarkable instances of open communication, accountability, and integrity, from the highest levels of leadership.

Cons

Some of the benefit offerings could be better (e.g. life insurance, options for health insurance), although overall, they’re fine, and again, are well thought out and communicated.

Thanks for the positive comments and the confirmation that you are experiencing integrity at Coffman. We certainly aim to walk what we talk. But the proof is in the experience, not the words. Although we are not perfect, we strive to continuous improvement. Glad you joined the team and can help with this endeavor. Regarding benefit offerings, and specifically life insurance, we happen to be looking at options right now to improve this benefit. Best Regards, Dave Ruff - CEO/President

Your pros are exactly what we are trying to achieve. The right balance between office autonomy and corporate support. Corporate is here to support and provide resources for local offices to thrive. Offices are to provide a platform so our team members can thrive. This autonomy and supportive environment should continue to result in technical prowess, nimble responsiveness, and personalized service. I hope we meet soon so you can change your opinion of me :) Dave Ruff - CEO/President
