Pros

Very calm company. Growing. Lots of vision.

Cons

Weird fear of employees knowing salaries. Even the accountants don't seem to have a list of employees' rates.

Pros

Some of my coworkers turned into good friends. That’s about all the pros I have.

Cons

Management doesn’t care about anything that goes on in any office other than the main office in Holmdel. If you have issues and you go to HR about it (because they say they care about their employees and their mental health) they schedule a 10 minute meeting, write down whatever they want to hear and put it away in a file never to be heard about again. They make you feel like no matter what you do it isn’t enough and are constantly pushing for more. Also, if you are an admin, your opinion doesn’t matter on anything and you probably won’t be included on projects yet you will still be expected to know what is going on at all times.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback while working at Colliers Engineering & Design. We are very concerned to hear you felt management dismissed your issues and cared more about expansion than employee wellbeing. This is hugely important feedback that we take very seriously. In particular, your comments about inadequate follow-up on reported issues, expecting employees to constantly do more without appreciation, and lack of inclusion for administrative roles underscore systemic areas needing review. I highly encourage you to directly contact our Chief People Officer, Allison Colantuoni. We appreciate you highlighting your concerns as we actively strive to support all Colliers Engineering & Design team members. Your insights drive the positive changes needed as we move forward.

Pros

They do pay well and allow working remote.

Cons

Where to start...company culture does not exist. Basically, you are in the club or you are not. And if you don't live in NJ then you are not in the club. They have no consideration for work life balance (lunch time and after-hours meetings). They push everyone to charge higher rates which result in loss of clients in the smaller markets. Financially they separate the disciplines, which then turns groups against each other because not reaching their unattainable goals is just another reason for them to lower your bonus. Also constantly threating middle management with laying off their employees while still spending a gross amount of overhead. Toxic people in management keep getting promoted...the list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and skip applying to this company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your candid feedback about your experience at Colliers Engineering & Design. We are sorry to hear you felt excluded and treated unfairly across several areas of the company. This is important feedback that we take very seriously, as it shows areas where we urgently need to improve. Your comments about unrealistic performance goals creating conflicts between divisions, bonus impacts from missed targets, insecure resourcing, and biased promotions highlight specific issues needing attention. I highly encourage you to contact our Chief People Officer, Allison Colantuoni, to discuss your situation in more detail so we can address any outstanding concerns.Thank you again for your openness; your voice drives critical review and positive change.
