Color seems like its a great place to work, and it was for a while. But like others have stated, the longer you stay here, the more you realize how toxic it is.
First, some of my fellow people managers should not be managing people! Many of them don't provide their team with any direction and then get angry at those below them for not delivering in performance and/or a project they were assigned. I've heard rumblings from team members that they do not feel comfortable in making even the smallest mistakes. Plus, there is a culture of favoritism here that is not hidden at all. That alone tends to bring down morale throughout the teams.
Which leads me to my next point. The turnover rate is horrible. There are a lot of contractors and temporary employees that work for the company with the hopes of becoming a permanent, full time hire. Most of them get let go, but then you see their same roles appear on the career section within a day or two. Also, the lack of empathy when someone is let go is embarrassing! I'm ashamed at some of the behavior that I've heard about on how some managers act so cold towards the individual when they are delivering the news. Have a little heart!
If I could quit this job without something else already lined up, I would! Consider your mental health when thinking about joining this toxic environment. Read all the good and bad reviews then make as much of an informed decision for yourself as you can.
