Pros

Faculty support Nice people Decent campus Easy systems to use (now that they have transitioned) Hiring process was pretty quick and easy

Cons

Some of the students are so religious that they have a hard time differentiating between what's ok legally and what's ok within their religion (i.e. practicing conversion therapy) The pay stinks. It's VERY low and the expectations are high. For instance, a 5 week class pays $1500 but the classes may have 25 students and a 3 page paper due for each student weekly, along with discussion posts. Do the math--you're spending at least 10 hours per week grading, assuming that you do the minimum and with the course prep time, etc that comes out to be about $15-20 per hour (about as much as a manager for a Starbucks). There is also an expectation for faculty to go through a "course" each time you teach that walks you through the steps to be sure you're doing what you need to do in class. I think that's great for the first couple times you teach, but EVERY time? Seems excessive.

Pros

A couple of the many reasons to work at Colorado Christian are 1. The people- the people care about who you are 2. Faith- Being in an environment where you can discuss your faith is so valuable

Cons

The money that you make will be a little lower than other Universities. It is difficult to move up in some positions.

Pros

Course content is solid and the ability to share one's faith along with Biblical principles is great.

Cons

Students who complain when instructors hold them to reasonable standards will get an instructor removed from the course or the university. All they have to do is contact the Dean and complain loudly. The Dean sides with the student, refuses to honor the instructor's reasonable requirements, and make sure the student gets his grade. I know of 3 cases where this occurred - these are not rumors. Yes, it looks like a degree mill.
