Pros

bagels on Friday Sweet coworkers Jeans on Fridays In depth training your first two weeks

Cons

The management treats you like a child If you wanted to do counseling this is deff not the place for you This is a call center and you are treated like a replaceable employee All that matters is call volume Expect to be doing 40+ intakes a day Emotional burnout d/t excessive call volume Low paying

Pros

Bagels Friday! Jeans Friday! Fooda! Co-workers! Bless them! they are friendly and super supportive of each other Daily dose of M&Ms Location Became pretty good at de-escalating and re-directing Stronger phone skills i suppose I definitely type faster now! Have gained a customer service voice, so theres that! Loved SOME of my supervisors - they were responsive and helpful. Loved my trainer- training was comprehensive. It was a lot and very fast but I personally did not find it hard to adapt to. Most definitely its a learn by doing job. You can get your clinical supervision hours!

Cons

Low pay even w/ a Masters and a licensure Some higher-ups are very micro-managey and condescending I hope you don't think you'll do counseling, because you most definitely won't. Big focus on the number of calls you take. Speaking of numbers, you are just a number thats all - not a valued employee. I did not feel appreciated or valued. Corporate + call center + mental health = do not mix Extremely difficult to move up No streamline mutual agreement on how to do certain procedures, one question can have 5 different answers depending on who you ask HUGE turnover and they do nothing to fix it. Keep losing great people and hiring people like its a conveyor belt. No transparency between upper mgmt. and EE's Burnout happens relatively fast - you'll feel like a robot going through the motions at some point. I'd say more of a temporary position to get you started.
