Pros

Awesome company standards and principals. The income potential can be awesome. Especially in your first several weeks. Eventually you will be on your own and have to prove your worth and dedication. 17 success principals apply anywhere in life , it's up to you to use them. Individual teams vary, it's a reflection of the TM and the team as to how good or bad the team is. Mastermind alliance is the key.

Cons

if you are brand new to the insurance industry as you learn you will see things that are not necessarily right, but if you do the right thing you'll be ok. Doing it honest is a slow path to success, but the business that stays is the business that pays

Thank you for sharing this positive review! We especially like hearing from our current employees. Great to hear that we have “awesome standards and principles.” We are proud of our nearly 100 year history and of the values instilled by our founder that are still carried out today-thank you for highlighting the “17 success principles.” As you also mentioned, our agents have a virtually unlimited income potential based on the volume of their sales. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback, and we wish you all the best in your career here at Combined Insurance!

Pros

Fast paced, unlimited earning potential, intensive training, and opportunities for raises and promotions.

Cons

Sometimes you'll go a couple weeks that are really slow, but the larger paychecks make up for it. No base salary.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this positive and realistic review! We especially appreciate hearing from our current employees. As you mentioned, a sales career with us starts with “intensive training” during which we spend a week in the home office preparing agents for success. Once in the field, agents have control over their own schedule, and as you mentioned, this can be an exciting and “fast paced” career. Our sales agents have a potentially unlimited income potential and are promoted based on their merits. We wish you all the best in your career here with us!

Pros

I have seldom been so privileged to worked with such a caring and well-oiled team. If you are looking for an experience that'll change the way you think work, and your bank account, should be--and if you can handle objections, be knowledgeable, and deliver a phenomenal customer experience--this is a great job for you! It requires a great deal of driving and meeting with business owners and clients, as well as networking, (the first of which I sadly can no longer do due to personal medical reasons--or else I would be working right now rather than writing about it!)--so, if you're shy, you will need to push yourself beyond any fear of people or awkwardness--but it can be the most rewarding experience to offer people hope and security where they would otherwise have none!

Cons

This is a job that ramps into larger and larger paychecks--it's not impossible to be paid really well from the get-go, but it'll require a lot more effort starting out than it will a year from now--if you do it well and follow what they say to do. You can add or enhance there plans for you, but do not remove or ignore their advice--you'll be hurting your own paycheck.

Thank you for sharing this positive review! We love hearing from our current employees. We appreciate that you are sharing a realistic view of what it takes to be a successful sales agent. As you mentioned, successful agents must drive, meet with clients, learn how to network, handle objections, and follow our suggested guidelines. It will take time to build up a thriving business, but the reward can be great. Our agents have a virtually unlimited income potential based on the volume of their sales, and we also offer other valuable rewards and incentives as well as merit-based promotions. We wish you all the best in your career here with us!
