Pros

Products are great. Nothing else

Cons

Training is pitiful Managers don't always understand the coverage. Oh but they say they do. Management is uneducated. Never worked anywhere else. Never with a real sales organization. They promote from within but that is not a pro when they don't have a clue as to how the sales plan works. They only know Combined and that is not much. So new people get screwed. Don't have a territory. You can go anywhere and so can everyone else. Non empathetic with fellow employees. Management will call you lazy before they ask how they can help. You are on your own. Yes your manager helps you but when she sells nothing how are you to sell. Have I said enough? This is all true and there is more.

Pros

There will never be any pros for this company! There is nothing positive out combined insurance! Stay as far away as you can!

Cons

It's just like a cult! Don't do it! If your a veteran they go after you quick as hell! Don't give in! Nothing like management pushing you do to unethical things to where you can lose your license and your job and get fined, just so they can make a buck.

Pros

Temporary Optimism while you are being recruited and being promised a "smooth on boarding experience"

Cons

A week of "training" spent in business-parkville Illinois (which they bill as "Chicago") where you find out, a bit late, that they will literally hire anyone with a pulse. During this week you're subjected to idiotic clapping rituals and forced to learn sales scripts. You develop a sense of impending doom, knowing you have been tricked by a crafty recruiter and are now in too deep to get the heck out of there unscathed. Once you are back, they begin drilling you to write business "at all costs," whether ethical or not. They don't care about the customer, and they don't mention how bad their customer service is (useful information before you sell a close friend a policy) They will go on about "limitless potential," and how you will get "9 pay days a month." This is all snake oil. Once you finally come to your senses and resign, they will relentlessly badger you for commission charge backs LONG after (threatening to put you on some "Vector One List" and this and that). In this sense they are not unlike the employer version of herpes.

Thank you for reviewing our company. We are sorry to hear about your employment experience with us.Commission-only sales can be very lucrative for the right person, and we strive to hire candidates that have the potential for success. Many of those agents make a very comfortable living selling our products. We take claims of unethical selling very seriously. Please send us the details of any perceived unethical behavior to feedback@combined.com and we will investigate it. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
