Pros

If on the right team, excellent ongoing support and training. Flexibility in schedule is also a plus. It does provide an opportunity to anyone from any background with little to no sales experience or insurance knowledge.

Cons

It's a job with no base salary. You can work your tail off, including many nights and weekends, and still not make a check. Actually, it could cost you money because you do not get reimbursed for your travel and business expenses. Although you can declare the expenses on your taxes, you incur the expenses during the year. And the "door to door" business practice where an agent will arrive at a home or business without an appointment needs to end. In today's society, with all of the safety risks that exist today, you can't expect people to just open their doors and invite you into their kitchen just because you have a nice smile and can show them how they can get insurance that quick, easy, and hassle free.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company. Our sales agents get a great start in our sales school, and they receive ongoing training and support, as you mentioned. They also enjoy flexible schedules. It’s true that sales is not for everyone, but for those who succeed, there is a virtually unlimited income potential. We appreciate your insight and suggestions. If you would like to add anything else, please email us at feedback@combined.com. We wish you all the best in your current and future endeavors.

Pros

Once you are in the field you are in your own after all the hype and excellent training. Company training is a great once you learn it and it take a lot of time, it takes a bit to follow but once you get it you are it.

Cons

if you are not in the good side of your territorial manager he will let you slowly die, also to get to a territorial management all it takes its to be " good" and willing during those field trips and you will get up the ladder very quickly, leads are good but the company doesn't paid claims as promise.

Thank you for taking the time to review our company. We always appreciate hearing from our current employees. As you point out, our agents benefit from our excellent training school, which is aimed at preparing our agents for success. Once in the field, we supply our agents with ongoing support and training, and promotions to sales leadership are merit based. We have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and an A+ financial strength rating by A.M. Best. We have also been identified as a leading provider of supplemental insurance by the Ward Group, who has put us on their annual Ward’s 50 Top Life-Health Insurance Companies list for six years in a row. We take your feedback very seriously and will share it with the management team. If you have further comments, please email us at feedback@combined.com. We wish you all the best in your career here with us!

Thank you for reviewing our company. We especially appreciate hearing from our current employees. Combined Insurance is a great company to work for, as you mention. For over 90 years, we have had a tradition of success. We have an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau and an A+ financial strength rating by A.M. Best, one of the world’s top insurance rating and information firms. Our agents have a virtually unlimited income potential, based on their performance. We are surprised to hear you feel our products fall short of your expectations: The Ward Group recognized Combined Insurance as being a leading provider of supplemental insurance and awarded us a spot on its annual Ward’s 50 Top Performing Life-Health Insurance Companies list for the past six years. We strive to give our agents the support they need in the field, and we would appreciate more information about how our managers can help more. If you would, please send us additional information at feedback@combined.com. Thanks so much and we wish you all the best in your career here with us!
