Pros

Compensation is decent and benefits are not bad. There is good training available if you pursue it.

Cons

The main negative of this company is the senior leadership at the Indianapolis location. From the president to his 3-4 senior executive managers there is a lack of quality leadership. Its pretty much a their way or the highway mentality. The overall felling amongst most of the employees is that they are just a number and walk around on egg shells waiting for their pink slip if they mess up. You never want to go against the norm or rock the boat if you see injustices or favoritism. You also never want to go to HR it will not be confidential at all.

Pros

CSUSA is an NYSE traded, large HVAC contractor and service provider. They have built their original core on ACTUAL companies with organic services and revenue. In most other areas of the country they have bought HVAC companies and grown artificially into a very large "company" who service almost every state.

Cons

In the course of wall street (OPM) expansion and buyouts or 'tuck-ins' or 'roll-ins' as CS calls them, they are very decentralized, which isn't necessarily good or bad. In some parts of the country they dominate and provide killer construction and HVAC services. In other parts (Tampa Bay and Florida) they have failed miserably to make a positive impact in the most HVAC-heavy state in the country. In Tampa's regional offices, they've gone through as many as 5 or 6 managers since 2010. They've churned and burned dozens of Techs and Sales people as well. CSUSA may be good elsewhere, but they have sucked, and continue to suck in Tampa and Florida, from what I hear and have recently heard (Dec 2014) from insiders still there.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits . Work load is decent they have kept me busy so I get my 40 hours.

Cons

I was hired on by the previous Director of Service. He had a great vision and was a great leader. He was actually making great progress according to fellow technicians that had been there a while. He was let go due to a conflict with the current President. Now they have brought in another Service leader who is supposedly an old friend of the President. I was told by a fellow technician that his new guy is the 5th person to oversee the service department in the last 8 years. That's a problem to me ,how long will this guy last. They had a great service leader and let him go due to the fact he didn't fit the mold the president and his senior management wanted .
