      Dedicated leadership and colleagues. Amazing place to work if you can afford a good non-profit salary.

      Pros

      Colleagues. Executive leadership team dedicated to improvement. Relaxed workplace for most teams. Growing transparency and dedication to diversity.

      Cons

      Overall strategy and leadership approach feels a bit more reactive than proactive. CEO needs to take a breath and come back down to earth. He has the vision and dedication, but he can come across as out of touch or a loose cannon. Location: It's becoming almost impossible to live off even a competitive non-profit salary in San Francisco.

      Pros

      Flexibility, great work/life balance, important mission, super smart colleagues, fast-paced.

      Cons

      Easy to feel stagnant, minimal opportunity to grow, HUGE / ENORMOUS pay gap between execs and the mid-level employees. Poor cross-org project management. Extremely high turnover. There is also verbal abuse happening in some of the departments.

      I work with some AMAZING, SMART, GIVING, LOVING people, who genuinely care about children and families. We Rate, Educate and Advocate kids, families and schools

      Cons

      Parking is a little challenging in our work neighborhood, Nothing else to complain about!!
