Good work, no growth

Pros

You get to work with at risk youth, and really change lives. Students will truly appreciate what you do. Its one of those "the work is its own reward" type of things.

Cons

The pay is horrible, there is no room for growth, and the health benefits are the worst Ive ever seen. The agency is more concerned about taking care of the funders and politics then it is about taking care of its employees.

Pros

Dedicated staff, passionate about helping at-risk kids.

Cons

Recent trend of hiring VP-level staff instead of much more needed "worker bee" level to meet increase in work load is hurting organizational morale.
