Pros

-Ongoing interaction with school officials and service providers. -You are encouraged to use different ways of brokering services into schools. -Great networking opportunities with various small and large scale nonprofit agencies.

Cons

-Hierarchy in the Chicago office does micromanage coordinators if they do not like the coordinator. -The ex director will push for numbers rather than substantive programs that make more of a long term positive effect on the children and families of the schools the org serves. -If you are a person that really wants to help the schools and children of Chicago you will quickly learn that this org is only about the numbers & be frustrated. -Pay is just okay for the work you will sometimes have to do outside of work hours.
