Free uniforms, light work loads, new facilities, generally friendly work environment, although with certain exceptions here and there.

Cons

Lack luster benefits, long process to attain parts and necessary tools and equipment, frequent call backs after hours and weekends, hostile dept directors and poor communication.

Competitive wages in a geographic area that needed it!

Cons

Everything is a secret at CHS - there is no transparency with their employees. The senior management will lie to your face instead of telling you the truth. You are just a pawn in their game of making money. They are supposed to be in the business of caring for patients - but all they care about is making money. The benefits are not great - if you want them for more than just yourself you will pay a TON for +spouse, +dependent or family. They are stingy with their time off allotments. They are super stingy with their employer contribution to your 401k - the vesting takes forever and they only make their contribution at the end of the 2nd quarter the FOLLOWING year. So you make no interest on any of that money YOU earned for 18+ months!
