They have some good programs but work-life balance doesn't happen.

Pros

Good relationship with direct supervisor. Decent healthcare benefits. Flexible work schedule. Opportunity to work remotely.

Cons

Ridiculous and unreasonable expectations for caseloads. Management is very slow to correct performance problems, which affects the whole team. Horrible PTO and the excuse they give is that we actually get a day off every week because we work a 32-hour work week. The 32-hour work week was nice at first but it actually leads to more stress since we have to do the same amount of work in less time, actually more and more with ever increasing caseloads. Upper management is out of touch, avoids interaction with staff besides hi and bye, and CME has way too many managers. The Chief Operating Officer needs to go. That position should be eliminated, it is superfluous. Program managers should report directly to the ED instead. Meager raises are merit based and set at 3% no matter how well you perform your duties. I don’t believe management or the board care about our program or the employees. They seem very disconnected. Upper managers are paid ridiculously high wages for a non profit. Very few opportunities for upward mobility.

Pros

Great benefits for employees, a good amount of PTO if you have been here for a long time, flexibility to work a hybrid schedule as needed, a 32-hour work week, and direct supervisor is great.

Cons

Very meager amount of PTO for employees just starting out, most of the time you will end up working more than 32 hours in a week.
