Pros

- solid competitive product offerings - positive customer NPS - Generous health benefits (especially for those with families/dependents) - decent comp structure - unlimited PTO - employee stock options - remote work options

Cons

- toxic management - lack of diversity (on the GTM teams) - unclear comp structure The company's culture is non-existent and frequently evolves into a toxic atmosphere, particularly within the Go-To-Market (GTM) teams. It's common for managers and directors to openly criticize and belittle colleagues in team meetings, rather than addressing issues in private. As the end of the quarter approaches, management's stress and anxiety levels rise, especially if targets are not being met, leading to threats of termination. This environment may suit those who can comfortably report to middle-aged white men with delicate egos. Additionally, the company has adopted a "clock-in, clock-out" mentality that many employees adhere to. While some may view this as a benefit, it generally leads to a lack of ownership and accountability across departments, hindering collaboration. The management team does not promote innovative or creative thinking. Furthermore, leadership consistently ignores significant issues stemming from fragmented and erratic processes and standards, compounded by the use of inefficient systems, which results in a highly manual workload. For those seeking a workplace that champions innovation, transparency, and inclusivity, I would not recommend Commvault as a place to work. However, if your priorities are a steady paycheck and the flexibility of remote work, then these criteria will be satisfied here.
